Education Queensland
Education Queensland provides instruction to all students in years one to twelve who attend Queensland government schools. School attendance is compulsory from ages six to fifteen, and 72% of secondary students continue until the age of seventeen (year 12). The site provides information about the Department, schools, teachers and learning, and education links.

Australian Catholic University
Australian Catholic University (ACU) commenced operation in 1991 after the amalgamation of four Catholic institutions of higher education. Many of the courses reflect an international focus, including successful programmes which are run offshore in undergraduate education and nursing and in postgraduate management and theological studies. ACU is a public university, open to all, funded by the Australian Government. Its awards are equivalent to those of other public universities in Australia and are recognised world-wide. ACU is a young university with six small, friendly campuses (in Brisbane, Sydney (2), Canberra, Melbourne and Ballarat) that are conducive to study. Although the name reflects its identity and philosophy, the University welcomes students of all beliefs, and is dedicated to the individual's pursuit of truth and academic freedom.

Bond University
Bond University is Australia's first and largest private non-profit making institution with its status guaranteed by an Act of Queensland parliament. It is a member of both the Australian Vice-Chancellor's Committee and the Association of Commonwealth Universities. Bond University was conceived, designed and built with one purpose - to become recognised as Australia's first quality university. The university's policy of keeping classes small means that each student receives the personal attention of their tutor or lecturer. More than a quarter of Bond students come from overseas and the academic staff are drawn from over twenty nations.

Central Queensland University
Central Queensland University (CQU) has been a degree granting institution for more than thirty years. Graduates rank CQU in Australia's top ten universities on the basis of their courses, university experiences and teacher/student relationships. The University offers recognised Doctorates, Masters, Graduate Diplomas & Certificates, Bachelor Degrees and Advanced Diplomas courses. CQU campuses caters for international students are located in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Fiji, in addition to the largest campus in Rockhampton. CQU has additional teaching operations in HongKong, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan. Domestic campuses (which can also enrol international students) are situtated in Bundaberg, Emerald. Griffith University
Griffith University is a government-funded institution with an international reputation for excellence in teaching and research. The interdisciplinary nature of a Griffith University degree is one of the University's hallmarks and its courses challenge rigid academic structures.

James Cook University
Established in 1970, James Cook University (JCU) of North Queensland has a record of excellence in teaching and research in disciplines of relevance to the tropics. These disciplines include Marine Biology, Tropical Environmental Management, Public Health and Tropical Medicine and Engineering. The university also maintains teaching strengths in a large number of undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degree programs. Most of JCU's students come from the greater North Queensland region. JCU also continues to strengthen its international links.

Queensland University of Technology
Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is one of Australia's largest universities with 30,000 students, including 4,000 international students from over eighty countries. Located in Brisbane, QUT is known as "a university for the real world". It maintains close relationships with employers and professions and these partnerships keep the University's education and research relevant to industry needs. QUT was Australia's inaugural winner of the Good Universities Guide's "University of the Year" award for Teaching and Learning. Today, the University continues to develop its teaching and research in ways that will benefit local and international communities. QUT degrees are recognised internationally and QUT graduates work around the world in a range of exciting professions.

The University of Queensland
Founded in 1910, the University of Queensland (UQ) is one of Australia's premier institutions, internationally known for its strengths in teaching and research, with a proven record of basic and applied research. It is the oldest and most prestigious of Queensland’s nine universities, and one of the largest, and is the State’s leading centre of higher education. Qualifications from UQ are internationally recognised.

The University of Southern Queensland
Established in 1967, University of Southern Queensland (USQ) has built a reputation for offering quality academic courses recognised worldwide. The International Council for Open and Distance Learning awarded the USQ with the 1999 Prize of Excellence for being the best in the world for its global education intitiatives and expertise in providing flexible learning opportunities. More than two thirds of all students enrolled at USQ study by distance education.

University of the Sunshine Coast
The University of the Sunshine Coast is Australia's newest university and the seventh public university in Queensland. The university fosters innovative approaches to course development, teaching and research, building design, and the use of technology. Distinctive academic programs have developed from research, community consultations, seminars with leading academics, and analyses of students' expectations and international trends in higher education. The courses offered are designed specifically for a modern university and the modern work environment, which is constantly changing and adapting. Links and agreements with national and international universities have been developed for the exchange of research, staff and students.

The Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ) is the State’s peak professional association for the real estate industry and exists to support member real estate agents with information, products and resources that complement their business practices, which in turn ensures professional service for the public. The REIQ is a significant and well-respected organisation, representing over 1,400 real estate offices and impacting on more than 8,000 agents, salespeople and associated property professionals around Queensland.

Office of the Queensland Parliamentary Counsel
This web site contains the Queensland legislation database created and maintained by Office of the Queensland Parliamentary Counsel since 1991. The database provides electronic access to consolidated versions of Queensland Acts and subordinate legislation, as well as to Queensland Acts as passed from June 1991 and all subordinate legislation published in the subordinate legislation series from 1 July 1991. Over a quarter of a million pages of Queensland legislation are available on the site.

Residential Tenancies Authority
The Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA) was established under the Residential Tenancies Act (1994) (the Act) and is responsible to the Minister for Public Works and Minister for Housing. It is a self-funding statutory authority, operating on income generated from interest earned on the bonds it holds as custodian. The RTA also administers the Residential Services (Accommodation) Act 2002, which looks after the rights and responsibilities for residents and service providers of supported accommodation such as hostels, aged care rentals and boarding houses.

Tenants’ Union of Queensland
The Tenants’ Union of Queensland is a statewide community organisation that provides services to tenants and aims to improve and protect the rights of all Queensland tenants, including caravan park and boarding house residents.
