Australian Catholic University
Australian Catholic University (ACU) commenced operation in 1991 after the amalgamation of four Catholic institutions of higher education. Many of the courses reflect an international focus, including successful programmes which are run offshore in undergraduate education and nursing and in postgraduate management and theological studies. ACU is a public university, open to all, funded by the Australian Government. Its awards are equivalent to those of other public universities in Australia and are recognised world-wide.
