The Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC) - processes
undergraduate applications for admission to the University of
Western Australia, Curtin, Edith Cowan & Murdoch
Universities. TISC also conducts the Special Tertiary
Admissions Test for mature-aged students and the West
Australian Universities Foundation Program for overseas
students.

Overseas students wishing to enter a Western Australian
university can enrol in the Western Australian Universities
Foundation Program (WAUFP). This one year course covers
English language skills and other academic subjects leading to

University of Technology
Curtin University of Technology is Western Australia’s
largest university with over 31,000 students. The main campus
is situated in Bentley, six kilometres south of the centre of
Perth, Western Australia’s capital city. A multi-campus
institution with four teaching divisions -- the Curtin
Business School; the Division of Humanities; the Division of
Engineering and Science; and the Division of Health Sciences,
Curtin has a presence outside the Perth through its Kalgoorlie
camps (incorporating the Western Australian School of Mines),
and the Muresk Institute of Agriculture, and a campus in
Sarawak, Malaysia.

The Western Australian School of Mines was established in 1902
and continues to service the education needs of the mining

areas: Mine Surveying, Mineral Economics, Minerals Engineering
and Extractive Metallurgy, Mining Engineering and Mining
